Two members of a touring Australian netball team saw snow for the first time during their trip to Monmouth.
Gabbi Loy (left) and Lucy Prior were part of the Westminster Dragons from Adelaide who played matches against Monmouth Girls School at the weekend.
“It’s really fun to see snow for the first time and we had a competition with the Monmouth girls to build the best snowmen,” said Lucy.
Led by former Australia elite national team coach Marg Angove, the Dragons A and B teams beat their Monmouth hosts 79-15 and 71-21.
Marg said: “The Monmouth girls tried really hard and have talented players who will get a lot better over time.”
For others across the county the snowfall was less novel but it didn’t stop people from getting out and enjoying it.
