IN the recent "Big Slimming World Clothes Throw", club members donated clothes that no longer fit them to raise funds for much needed Cancer Research.

The response both in Monmouth and nationwide has been overwhelming.

It looks like the money raised in total this year will exceed the target set, with donations from Monmouth alone, estimated to have money raised £1,073 during the event.

Slimming World consultants Sue and Claire dropped off the bags to Margaret, from Cancer Research, collected from their Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon groups in Monmouth.

Money raised from the donations will continue to fund vital research into cancer, a disease that touches the lives of many.
