Silence is golden

SIR,

Some say silence is golden. The silence regarding Council activity on the Link Road in Monmouth is deafening.

I reckon the Council have spent upwards of twenty thousand pounds to block off a piece of land which, at today's values, is probably worth about five thousand. Why?

If there is nothing to hide, why are our local councillors not forthcoming with information?
