SIX lambs and a ewe have been left with injuries after being attacked by dogs near Chepstow.
Gwent Police received a report of six lambs and a ewe being attacked by dogs in land off Mounton Road, leaving the animals with head injuries and puncture wounds around the neck area.
A spokesperson from Gwent Police said: “The majority of dog owners are responsible and keep their dogs under control and would not dream of allowing their dogs to chase livestock which is the correct thing to do.
“So please keep to the public footpaths and keep your dog on a lead were any livestock is present.”
