MONMOUTH Comprehensive School has been awarded the highest possible grades in a recent inspection.

A total of seven grade ones were awarded across all inspection categories in the Estyn report.

The categories include pupils' achievements, quality of teaching, meeting the needs of the community, care and guidance of the pupils, leadership and management, self-evaluation and improvement and the efficient use of resources.

Monmouth Comprehensive is the first school, secondary or primary, in the whole of Monmouthshire to achieve such high standards.
