This year represents the thirtieth anniversary since the class of 1972 –1977 left Monmouth Comprehensive School. A few months ago, a small group of the class met and decided that this milestone should be celebrated and hatched the idea of a 'School Re- union'. A plan was set in motion, Monmouth Rugby Club was booked for the event, refreshments were arranged, old photographs were gathered and a series of e-mails, letters and telephone calls were made in order to contact as many ex-pupils as possible. This frenzied activity culminated in approximately 40 ex-pupils gathering at the Rugby Club to celebrate the occasion. Many of the attendees travelled from various parts of the country to be there and some from much further distances including France, Italy and Ireland. The evening was very much enjoyed by all those who attended and a great deal of reminiscing and catching up took place. Many thanks to Gill Morgan, Diane Jones, Sandra Croudace, Caroline Cope, Mandy John and Cath Cowles for making all the arrangements.
