Sir,
I wonder if I may ask you to give the following information concerning the publication of the Annual Report to Parents of Students at Monmouth Comprehensive School.
The Governing Body of Monmouth Comprehensive School – Annual Meeting with Parents:
Whilst it is a statutory requirement that the Governing Body produces and circulates an Annual Report to Parents, there are certain conditions that may inform the decision to hold an Annual Meeting with Parents.
In accordance with the Annual Parents' Meeting (Exemptions) (Wales) Regulations 2005, if the Governing Body has held an Annual Meeting in the previous year, there is no automatic requirement to hold a meeting in the current year.
Accordingly, this year's Annual Report will be circulated to parents in November, advising that a meeting will only proceed if 5% of parents of registered pupils indicate they wish to do so, in writing and within seven days.
In either event, parents will be notified of the outcome and any subsequent arrangements.
