The Monmouth Mayor’s JustGiving fundraising page created to raise funds for those affected by the Monmouth Flood will be closing on 31 January 2026. Please be reassured that people can still donate after this date directly to Monmouth Town Council, if they would like to do so. Phase I payments were all made before Christmas and due to the ongoing generosity and fundraising from the community, the Phase II process will launch imminently.

Please look out for key dates which will be publicised by the town council shortly. Following communications with Clerks Les Taylor and Carole Arvanitis and Councillor Ian Chandler, the decision has been made to gift an amount of Phase II funds to Whitecastle and Skenfrith Community Councils to support those affected in Rockfield and Skenfrith.

The Mayor of Monmouth, Cllr Jackie Atkin added: ”I cannot say enough how truly inspired I have been by the extent to which the community has come together in a time of crisis and as donations continue to come in from near and far, I am truly humbled. A heart felt thank you goes out to everyone for their unrelenting support.”

After the devastating flooding in Monmouth caused by Storm Claudia, Monmouth’s Mayor, Councillor Jackie Atkin launched a dedicated JustGiving fundraising page to support those affected and help the town recover.

She initially began with a target of £5,000 but so overwhelming was the response that the fund currently stands at £165, 496

The fund aimed to provide direct financial assistance to residents and businesses struggling with the aftermath of unprecedented flood damage. From charity concerts to community car washes and street events — the Mayor’s Flood Relief gained support from organisations like Rotary Monmouth and countless business and individual donors.
