Sarah Robson, who has been Clerk of Monmouth Town Council for the past five years, is leaving at the end of next month to take up a new post as Deputy Town Clerk on a council in Chard, Somerset.
Reflecting on her period at Monmouth, Sarah said: It has been a challenge, it's had its moment but I've particularly enjoyed working closely with members."
Sarah said she also valued the association she had forged with officers of the county council and the partnership workings that had been fostered.
"It's been a privilege and a huge honour - I've thoroughly enjoyed it. "
Sarah successor has yet to be appointed but the council has had several expressions of interest and an appointments panel has been set up.
"I feel very positive that they'll find the right person," she said.
