Prince Charles' former official harpist, who suffered a "spectacular fall from grace" when she was dragged into crime with her burglar boyfriend, has escaped a jail term.

Blonde Jemima Phillips, 28, was already a heroin and crack addict when she met lifelong criminal William Davies, 41, almost a year ago, Gloucester Crown Court heard.

Using her farmhouse family home as a base, Davies, 41, of Cheltenham, persuaded Phillips to use a stolen building society pass book to try to withdraw £500 from the Nationwide branch in Monmouth.

As well as admitting the attempted fraud with the passbook, Phillips was convicted by a jury of dishonestly handling property stolen by Davies in the four burglaries. The loot was all found in her car when she and Davies were stopped by police in Gloucester.
