Ross Live! has won the Environment and Culture Award in the West Midlands Market Towns Awards 2008. The project will now go forward with other category winners for judging the overall regional winner. 'We are about to launch our 2008 Ross Live! Festival programme which will have something for everyone, but it our education programme which will have impressed the judges that we were not just another festival' says Ross Live! director Robin Symonds. 'We are bringing music to children in nursery groups and Brampton Abbotts Primary School with our It's Sound and Suzuki Group projects. We hope this award will raise the profile of Ross Live! which will be a great help with fundraising to prolong and extend these programmes.'
