On Saturday Rockfield Rovers hosted Sebastopol in a Gwent County League match.

Rockfield were slow starting against Sebastopol but soon got into the swing of things and started to play some good football, resulting in the first goal, created by a well timed cross from Daniel Macdonald to Ryan Jones.

Within two minutes of the second half Daniel Macdonald netted Rockfield's second. Shane Dorrington netted home Rockfield's third.

Sebastopol looked beaten at 3-0 down and with 25 minutes to go and Rockfield produced some great football once again, with a precision cross from Ryan Jones which found Craig Lewis on the 18 yard line. Lewis set himself up to bury the ball into the net to make it 4-0 to Rockfield.

Rockfield thought the game was won, and took their foot off the pedal but were soon punished by Sebastopol but Rockfield's defence remained solid.

Rockfield broke again with a perfect long ball from Daniel Macdonald to Mark Blake who crossed the ball to find Craig Lewis who once again netted to make it 5-0 and put Rockfield further ahead.

With minutes to go Lewis was determined to get his hat-trick but was denied by a terrific save from the Sebastopol keeper. The match ended 5-0 to Rockfield.
