Rockfield Rovers were away to Whiteheads who were currently forth in the league. The game started and was steady going both sides looked nervous from the start but Whiteheads had the better of the play and were denied a few goals with some excellent defending by rovers defence and a couple of great save by their keeper.

Rockfield kept their nerve and soaked up the pressure and started to get into the game with some great passing of the ball throughout the team which created a few chances for Rockfield's striker Karl Psczcola who narrowly missed his chances.

Rockfield kept pressing and finally it came, Rockfield's first with Daniel Macdonald starting the scoring off and put rovers 1-0 to the good, some five minutes later Lee Psczcola put through a pass that caught the Whiteheads off guard as they thought the pass was meant for his brother who left it alone with Whiteheads all stood still waiting for the referee to blow for offside, Ryan Jones ran through the defence of the opposition and took the ball round the keeper and slotted home Rockfield's second. Whiteheads were some what confused but the goal stood and Rockfield were playing some great football with a great team performance by all Rockfield look solid from the goalie through to the strikers. Unfortunately Karl Psczcola got injured some 30 minutes into the half and had to be substituted with Craig Lewis. Also making his debut for Rockfield first team was Craig Drew who replaced Paul Perella who had just returned from a four match ban to pull his hamstring. Before the half Lee Psczcola found the net to make it 3-0 to Rockfield at the break and was making a point, which he should be in the starting line up rather than on the bench week in week out.

At the start of the second half Rockfield were once again under a little pressure but still made the odd chance but this time Whiteheads made their chances count with a great finish and got themselves a goal making it 3-1, with some 35 minutes to go Rockfield kept the pressure on with some fine play starting from their own defence and making the ball do the work, it wasn't long before Rockfield found the net again through Daniel Macdonald who made it 4-1 to Rockfield. Lee Psczcola found the net again with Rockfield's midfield working hard and showing some great passing of the ball to find Macdonald who crossed the ball for Psczcola to net home his second of the game and Rockfield's fifth. Whiteheads looked beat but never gave up, but Rockfield had other ideas and Macdonald scored to make his hat-trick and put the game out of reach for the home team and made it 6-1 to Rockfield. With some 10 minutes to go Whiteheads kept pushing and with a little help from Rockfield keeper they managed to pull back a consolation goal and at the final whistle it was Rockfield Rovers 6 Whiteheads 2.
