A NEW-look Hoggin’ the Bridge event will this year feature a Saturday night evening of music, headlined by popular Monmouthshire-based folk rock band Rusty Shackle.
This year’s event features a number of changes including a new, longer route and a new finishing point.
Organised by Caldicot Town Team, this year will feature a number of changes, including a new layout at the starting point at Aust and a new longer route at just over six miles.
In 2017 the event broke from tradition and finished at Caldicot Castle, amid some concerns of access, as more than 6,000 bikes took part in the largest ride out to date for the group. Previously organised by the Hoggin’ The Bridge Committee, the event had traditionally finished at Chepstow Racecourse.
For 2018 bikers will now finish at the David Broome Event Centre just outside Caldicot, which is the event’s host venue for 2018. There will be a new bike show, held right at the heart of the venue, with new merchandise such as pens, mugs and keyrings and more catering units.
Last year’s event raised over £13,500 pounds for 24 charitable organisations, many of which are in Monmouthshire.
Tickets for the ride and for the Saturday night are on sale now by visiting hoggin-the-bridge.co.uk
