Monmouth's Savoy Theatre has been selected as one of 24 historic buildings to receive funding from CADW.

The Savoy Trust will be given £39,300 out of the £999,124 donation, which will be used for reparations on Wales' oldest theatre.

Speaking on behalf on the trust, Terry Ashton, trust director, said: "We are very pleased, and it's the beginning of a process.
