In attempting to respond to critics appalled by his tasteless remarks about using water cannon to repel refugees and would-be migrants in Calais, our MP David Davies compounds the original offence with even worse macho posturing (“the Government must be prepared to use reasonable levels of force...”) aimed at denigrating the genuine suffering and distress of people far less fortunate than himself.
