ARMY Reservist Staff Sergeant Paul Firth was commended at a reception for the Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers Militia (RMRE(M)) at their headquarters in Monmouth last week (26th March).

The Monmouth resident (left in picture) was awarded a Brigade Commander's Commendation for his outstanding contribution to the Reserves, and for carrying out the additional duties of a Troop Commander at the regimental headquarters.

Paul is an HGV driver in his civilian capacity and has been developing his artisan skills as part of his role in the Army Reserves, at the regiment's infrastructure training area, based near Caerwent.
