SIR, Personally, I am glad the Labour candidate Ruth Jones has spoken up about what is happening in the NHS in England. I hope the Translantic Trade and Investment Partnership Treaty (TTIP) will not be the case in our devolved Welsh NHS. The TTIP involves £9 billion of taxpayers money and under present law allows large health corporations in Europe and USA to bid for English NHS contracts, with a legal system that allows for contractors to sue our Government if in dispute. A recent poll of 43,191 members of 38 Degrees reported 95 per cent were seriously concerned about TTIP, whereby £9 billion was already going to big business. As a long term local reader of the Beacon and, regularly hearing and seeing David Davies MP, it would be interesting for his constituents to know if Wales would be involved in any way. I understand 'cross boundary' progress is being made by Welsh health administration. I am sure other people have examples of NHS experiences. S. G. Gilbert (Monmouth)
