Priory Street School

MADAM,

I would like to say thank you to Roger Smith and Dave Willett for providing the names of the boys in the photograph of Priory Street School in 1956.

I am originally from Monmouth and my maiden name was Pat Edwards. I grew up on Rockfield Road.

I trained as a nurse at St Lawrence Hospital, Chepstow in 1965 and moved to the Swansea area in 1972. I have worked as a district nurse in the Neath locality for the past 16 years.

I would like to ask if any of your readers have any photographs of Glendower Street Infants School 1947-1949. Also of Overmonnow Girls School 1949-1953.

I would love to see them courtesy of The Beacon. I receive The Beacon faithfully every week from my father-in-law, Joe Geddes of the Pike House, Dixton Road.

It keeps me in touch with my home town!
