POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car driver died following a collision with a lorry on the A4137 near Glewstone early on Tuesday evening (June 9).
The crash happened around 6.30pm between St Owens Cross and Marstow and involved a Scania lorry and a Mitsubishi L200.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Despite the efforts of emergency services, the driver of the Mitsubishi, a man in his 60s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision, as well as anyone who may have dashcam footage from the time of the incident or the moments leading up to it.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service said two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance and emergency doctors attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the car driver was found in a "critical condition" and despite the best efforts of medical staff at the scene it "became clear that nothing more could be done to save him".
He was confirmed dead at the scene, while the driver of the HGV was unhurt.
