Local motorists are being advised to map out alternative routes next week ahead of a temporary daytime road closure on Trevyr Road in Grosmont.

Monmouthshire County Council has announced its intention to temporarily shut an 80-metre section of the route, located roughly 75 metres from its junction with New Inn Road. The single-day restriction will take place on Wednesday, June 17, to allow engineering teams to complete essential utility poling works safely. Crews will operate between 8am and 5pmto minimise disruption to the community.

Head of Neighbourhood Services at Monmouthshire County Council, Carl Touhig, confirmed that reasonable access will be strictly maintained for all properties fronting the affected stretch of road throughout the day. A signed diversionary route will guide drivers around the area via New Inn Road and the R22 Cross Ash to Grosmont route.
