Six years ago, I responded to a plea from Monmouth Animal Rescue to foster a feral kitten.

Her mother and siblings had been rounded up by Cats' Protection but she'd been missed.

CP had no room for more cats so Pat Johns from Monmouth Animal Rescue stepped in, captured the kitten and delivered her to me complete with holding cage. After two weeks we decided to keep this frightened kitten so she joined our feline family.

Two months ago we took in a 16-year-old cat whose owner had died suddenly and who had also been fostered by MAR.

These are just two of the many animals helped by this small local charity

If you care about animals please support the coffee morning at the Priory this Saturday (4th May) where every penny raised will go towards helping local animals who have fallen on hard times.
