Plans are being drawn up for the redevelopment of the Almshouse site, off St James' Square.

A joint development between Bristol Charities and developers Lovells will see a two-and-a-half storey accommodation block containing 20 Almshouse flats, continueing the provision of the William Jones Almshouse Scheme.

It is proposed that 10 muse houses will also be built on the site to finance the project.
