Herefordshire Council has announced a series of temporary road closures as part of its HC SD Prep Works (26‑374) programme, scheduled to begin on April 7. The highways authority confirmed that several local roads will be shut to vehicles to allow essential surface‑dressing preparation works to take place safely.

The Order permits closures for up to 18 months, though the council expects the full programme to be completed within one month. Each road will close for the duration specified in Schedule 1, reopening between surface‑dressing and white‑lining phases, which are set roughly a month apart.

Diversion routes will be clearly signposted, with further details published on One.Network. Advance warning signs will provide exact dates and times.
