The Grand Female Champion at the prestigious Royal Show, at Stoneleigh, is Phocle Dowager 123V, bred by David Jones at Phocle Farm near Ross. Phocle Dowager came first in her class, the Senior Female Champion for cows over two years of age and then went on to be the overall Champion. David Jones has had many champions at shows in the past, but he told The Ross Gazette that this is his first female Grand Champion. She was also Reserve Supreme Champion for the Burke Trophy. Two of Mr Jones other beasts achieved 2nds at the Show. Starring role for James at Euro 2008
