I am contacting you in connection with a book that we are currently researching. This is about the ghosts of Newport and the area up to the Borders.

In the early 1960's The Monmouthshire Beacon published, on a couple of occasions, stories relating to phantom stagecoaches seen in the Monmouth area.

At that point at least it seemed to be something of a hotspot. I was wondering if there has been any more recent sightings of this type of spectre?

We are also interested in other stories from the Monmouth area, for possible inclusion in the book. Rather than relying on legends and stories which have been passed down, we are looking for firsthand experiences which we can then relate in the form of a story of a few hundred words.

It can be published with a degree of anonymity for those involved, if they wish and we will treat all information gained with respect.
