A TEAM of Mathematical wizards from Overmonnow Primary School have won the Welsh event in a Maths Year 2000 competition organised by Valiant.
The four pupils - Rebecca Evans, Adam Wulder, Jason Locke and Karndeep Saran - proved they were the fastest and most accurate in a series of maths tests and are now looking forward to taking part in the National Final to find the Math-U brains of Britain.
The team will represent Overmonnow School and Wales, when they join other regional heat finalists at Lords Cricket Ground on December 5th for the finals. The pupils will be given a series of mathematical problems and equations to solve.
Among the array of guests who will be at Lords judging this year's finals are maths geniusCarol Vorderman and Education Secretary David Blunkett.
