SIR,
I was outraged to find my mother in tears after receiving a letter last week telling her that her regular homecare would changed and she would have no choice in this.
How can Monmouthshire County Council (MCC) do this to elderly people at this time in their life?
It has taken quite some time to finally find an agency that offers good reliable homecare; not from just the care staff either.
And now she is going to be forced to receive care from an agency that she tried before and did not get the service she has now. Why?
MCC should not be upsetting people like my mother as she is unwell and at a time in her life where she does not need this extra worry.
It got to the point where I had to stay with her to reassure her I won't let them change her carers.
She received the letter just before Easter when MCC knew they would not be there to answer concerns from people, disgusting.
Mrs A Harris
