SIR, I am horrified at the MCC's proposal to collect yellow waste bags (nappy and other bodily waste material) only every two weeks. As India pushes for proper sanitation in the form of toilets for every home, MCC seem to think that sanitation, in the form of weekly disposal of black waste, is too much of a financial burden. Where are we supposed to store our used nappies for a whole two weeks? With the recent outbreaks of norovirus in the area, isn't it obvious that having defecated material lying around in streets, gardens, homes, for up to 14 days is seriously bad for people's health? Remembering also that the very need of the yellow bags indicates a resident who is at higher risk. Honestly MCC, surely this is one saving too far. Name and address supplied
