On a glorious Sunday, the Old Monmothians (OMs) entertained South Wales Hunt at the school ground.
Electing to bat on a good pitch and quick outfield, the OMs soon found themselves in trouble at 32 for four, before a superb fifth-wicket stand between Oliver James (38) and Jon Denning (63 off 85 balls, pictured left) brought the OMs back into the game.
The OMs finally declared at 249 for nine from 57 overs after some fine lower order cameos from captain Tom Bevan (32 not out) and Simon Cope (19 not out).
