Gwent Police carried out a successful operation at Raglan Services last week in conjunction with a number of other public bodies.

Around 20 officers joined Trading Standards, Environmental Health, Department of Work and Pensions, VOSA and Customs and Excise to clamp down on a number of trends.

Police found red diesel in a number of vehicles and others were found to be transporting scrap metal illegally – a permit is required to do so.

Targetting both commercial and private vehicles, officers found three or four with no insurance.
