A Monmouth cafe is to feature in a forthcoming ITV documentary.
Noodles Cafe played host to camera crews last Wednesday (5th January) as they filmed for Wales This Week.
The cafe, situated on the old Monnow Bridge, is to feature in a series of programmes about small businesses and what help they feel they need in order to continue to grow in the current economic climate.
The programme aims to look at relatively new businesses that are run by a small number of people.
Noodles has been open for just under two years and is run by two managers, who employ one other person.
Sisters Mary Buffrey and Buffy Sharpe talked about their business and what help they feel they could use from outside sources such as the Welsh Assembly Government or county and local councils.
Mary said: "We are a unique cafe in Monmouth and marketing ourselves has been a huge issue for us.
"We can't put signage up without there being a cost and we don't know how else to attract people."
Buffy said: "We are just two mums trying to make a business for ourselves and we haven't found it particularly easy.
"We would like to expand but unfortunately, without some help, we aren't sure how to do this."
ITV brought in business guru Warren Cass to assess the cafe and to help the managers see how it could be marketed in a more effective way.
Warren has run his own business networking company Business Scene, since August 2009.
"I'm hoping I will be able to offer another perspective for Noodles, particularly when it comes to engaging with people via social media," he said.
Director of Wales This Week Fiona Scott said: "With the amount of jobs that are set to be lost in the public sector, we are trying to find out whether the private sector will be able to pick up the slack.
"While support may not always be needed in the form of money, it is sometimes hard for businesses to pick out what they need to do.
"Unfortunately, Monmouth is not regarded as an area that needs financial help.
"We hope to be able to shed a positive light on the situation and bring some hope to small businesses."
The programme is scheduled to be aired on Thursday 27th January at 7.30pm.
