SIR,

There are many people like me in Monmouth who are completely opposed to more homes being built on Wonastow Road. We must stand firm as a community and oppose the county council's obsession with building these unnecessary homes.

It is not just the infrastructure that would not cope. It is a clear fact that these homes are not always designated for the local population. Many new homes these days are earmarked for immigrants coming into our country, and we build new homes for them because we have lost control of our borders. With this scheme, the culture and identity of this town could be lost forever.
