The NHS 111 line can now help with mental health. You should select option two and find details of the support options available in the local area and in some cases you could get put straight through to a trained mental health professional.
People can also self refer to Talking Therapies service for free, confidential support to help manage a range of common mental health problems including anxiety, stress, depression and low mood.

Children under the age of 19 can also receive mental help advice and support from Childline, this is free and confidential, a service which allows children to reach out to trusted, trained counsellors.

Anyone who is suffering with their mental health should not put off calling 999 or visiting the nearest hospital emergency department.
