The familiar face of the town has had a plaque dedicated to him and erected on the wall outside Merrick's Pharmacy on the corner of Steep Street.
The plaque was gifted to the cat's owners, and the town, by local ceramicist Ned Heywood.
The cat, who died aged 19 on 12th March, was a constant sight in the town and friend to many. He was remembered at a wake in the weeks after his death.
The plaque names the cat's spot as Alfie's Corner, a fitting memorial to a true Chepstowlian.
• Always busy working with projects across the country, Chepstow potter and town councillor Ned Heywood has created 150 stone plaques that have been positioned at the newly unveiled National Mining Memorial in Senghenydd.
The plaques show the names of miners killed in one of Wales' worst mining disasters, and were sponsored by local people. The tiles (pictured above) show the names of the dead, as well as the name of the sponsor.
Ned has also created a new black and gold plaque marking the 150th anniversary of the Football Association. The piece will be unveiled at a celebration gala dinner at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London on 26th October.
