A new face can be seen out and about patrolling the streets of Ross on Wye offering community support to the people of the town.
CSO Jim Cooke has joined the Ross Town Local Policing Team to assist PC Mark Murphy and CSO Paul Cowmeadow in addressing policing issues within the town. The appointment comes as CSO Lisa Austin steps across to join the Ross Rural team.
"I like working with people and wanted to do something a little different," said Jim, aged 23, "and this seems to fit the bill perfectly."
A former trainee nurse and care worker, he has already been getting about the town with his colleagues, learning the ropes and getting to know the locals. He will doubtless become a familiar and welcome sight in Ross in the weeks to come.
