DENNIS Brown was the successful candidate in the by-election for a seat on Raglan Community Council.
Mr Brown, who lives at Fayre Oaks, polled 135 of the 305 votes cast, seven more than Phillip Badham, with Vivienne Jones polling 42.
Mr Brown, who is retired has lived in Raglan for the past 27 years and has served on a number of village organisations. He was the former Chairman of the Raglan Rural Development Group and a member of the village's Millennium Committee.
As Chairman of Raglan Youth Club, one of his aims is to improve leisure facilities for the young people of the village.
