A WYE Valley country house has been voted as the West Midlands Regional winner at The Wedding Industry Awards 2026.
Glewstone Court Country House has a rich history, dating back to the 17th century and was judged Best Historic Wedding Venue for the second year in a row.
As Regional Winners they will now go through to the National Final in Liverpool in January next year.
Gary and Karen Homewood acquired Glewstone Court in 2014, and were also awarded highly commended in the Best Events Team West Midlands section of the awards, which saw 26,747 votes cast for 1,300 entrants.
Gary said it was a tremendous honour to win the Best Historic Venue accolade and added: “These awards stand as a true testament to our commitment to delivering consistently high standards here at Glewstone Court.
“I’m enormously proud of our team, whose tireless energy, dedication, and enthusiasm is evident in everything they do. We are overwhelmed that both our wonderful couples and the judges have recognised our efforts through these awards.”
The occasion was especially meaningful for the owners, as it marked exactly 11 years to the day since they acquired the venue.
Gary added that since they purchased Glewstone Court, they have invested not only financially, but with immeasurable passion, care, and sheer hard work into restoring and enhancing this historic manor and its grounds creating the perfect backdrop for truly exclusive celebrations.
He added: “Glewstone is a beautiful country home, made for celebrations and perfect for weddings. It has nine beautiful bedrooms, finished to the highest standard and a renowned restaurant serving the highest quality local produce.
The team now includes the couple’s daughter Amy, and son-in-law Sam, who is now the operations director.
They are supported by a loyal and highly dedicated team committed to ensuring that events run smoothly with a professional yet friendly service.
