David Davies had a bit of fun last week to highlight a serious problem for Vodafone customers in Monmouthshire.

Following more signal issues in Newland, Clearwell, Penallt and Redbrook, affected users got in touch with the Monmouth MP, prompting him to claim that his children could make a more effective telecommunication device.

He put his theory to the test with Vodafone customers Amanda Baker and Sarah McCoy over Chippenham Fields last Friday (17th May) with cans and string made by his daughter.

When Mr Davies complained to Vodafone after signal issues on 14th May, he was told: "The sites went down last night following routine planned work in the area.

"The issue has already been flagged as a high priority in our Network Operations Centre, and an engineer has been dispatched to the site."

The signal has since been restored.
