Gwent Police is appealing for help after the theft of a motorbike from Hereford road on Wednesday.

A White, Yamaha motorbike was stolen from the Haberdasher Monmouth girl's school at 1.19pm on Wednesday 22 April.

The keys had been mistakenly left with the bike. The motorbike, with its distinctive purple inner rims, was ridden down the Hereford Road and turned left just after the main entrance to the school, into The Gardens.

It is believed that there was an accomplice who was driving a small, white or cream box van.
