MONMOUTHSHIRE Hearing Centre has recently celebrated the passing of 20 years since they first opened their doors on October 17, 2005.

The independent audiologists’ well known practice is located on Monnow Street in Monmouth where the small team of specialists are committed to caring for hearing health. The centre is run by Helen Hollywell who is a qualified hearing aid audiologist registered under the Health Professional Council (HPC) and also a member of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists. To mark their first 20 years in business Helen and the team held an open day and celebration at local eatery Creates, with an afternoon tea buffet of sandwiches, cakes, scones with jam and tea, coffee and Prosecco on offer to all who called in, as a way of saying thank you to their many loyal customers.

The relaxed day gave clients old and new the chance to meet the team of audiologists and also many of the different hearing aid manufacturers which sell products through the hearing centre.

Helen Hollywell, owner of Monmouthshire Hearing Centre, said: “A big thank you to Monmouth for supporting us as a business and hopefully here’s to a long future still in Monmouth.”

The day also raised funds for two charities supported by the firm - Music for Memories and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.

The clinic has grown rapidly over the years, since it originally opened at 7 Agincourt Street, Monmouth and later relocated to its current Monnow Street premises to allow it to expand to cater for even more clients.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to all our old and new clients because without their support and trust in the team we wouldn’t be here,” said Helen.
