MONMOUTHSHIRE and the Wye Valley have been the home for many film and television shows for Netflix and the BBC, including: The Way, Sex Education, Escape to the Farm with Kate Humble and many more.
The Way
In the heart of Monmouth, BBC drama, ‘The Way’ is about a Welsh family in Port Talbot who become refugees after a civil uprising. Part of the locations included areas in Monmouthshire such as Agincourt Square, around the outside of the Punch House and it featured Hollywood A-list actors and actresses including: Michael Sheen and Luke Evans.
Sex Education- Netflix Series
Many locations were captured in the well-known Netflix series, Sex Education including some which you may have never realised were in the show.
Llandogo- was used in the Netflix series, featuring the family used shop ‘Browns Village Stores 'including beautiful, picturesque views over the Wye Valley.

Tintern- Otis and Eric have been spotted as they cross the Old Railway Bridge on their way to Moordale High.
Monmouth- has been used in various scenes in the popular show, including Eric’s house and the fairground scenes over on Vauxhall fields.
Symonds Yat- Otis and Jean Milburn’s red and while chalet has been tucked away in the Wye Valley as it overlooks the river in Symonds Yat.

Caerleon- Caerleon's former University campus has been used for the location of Moordale high, where Otis, Maeve, Eric and the members of the cast featured frequently.
Mallards Pike- Mallards pike was another filming location used in the series, transforming into a French petrol station, known as “Sur Le Lac” serving as a place for filming when they were on a coach trip to France.
Escape to the farm with Kate Humble
Escape to the Farm with Kate Humble, is filmed in Monmouthshire and Kate gives her viewers a further understanding of her life as a farmer on an 117-acre farm.
Puzzlewood

Puzzlewood is an enchanted, magical forest located in The Forest of Dean, which has developed its reputation for being widely recognised as an engaged spot in the woodland for major filming companies.
Starwars
The Force Awakens was partly filmed in Puzzlewood and according to the Puzzlewood website the Star Wars Producer and President of Lucasfilm, as “the most magical forest on the face of the earth.”

Doctor Who
Matt Smith who was the eleventh doctor in Doctor Who filmed both his first and final episodes at Puzzlewood along with their Christmas special which was filmed in the magical forest.
Our Planet
In the opening series of Our Planet on Netflix, which is narrated by David Attenborough was featured in Puzzlewood, the opening series was included and filmed in the woods.
Jack the Giant Slayer
Jack the Giant Slayer was also filmed here and is inspired by a classic fairytale, stars and featured Ewan McGregor, Nicholas Houltand Stanley Tucci and due to some of the filming conducted during the opening hours some people who visited Puzzlewood were able to meet some of the actors/ acresses.
Gloucester Cathedral
Harry Potter
Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone and the Chamber of Secrets included scenes which were filmed in Gloucester Cathedral.
One of the scenes which was included was the flooding of the girls toilets, and where Harry and Ron were hiding from the giant troll.
