MONMOUTH'S Age Cymru is supporting a campaign to help stop outgrown or unused clothing ending up in landfill sites.

The shop, at Unit 4 of the Oldway Centre, is backing the 'From a Mother to Another' campaign run by JoJo Maman Bébé. JoJo Maman Bébé is a retailer of maternity and baby clothes and nursery products - it also has a shop in Monmouth.

Age Cymru Monmouth has set aside some of the children and baby clothing it has received to give to the 'From a Mother to Another' campaign. Carol Hoskins, manager of Age Cymru's Monmouth shop, said: "Nearly a third of clothing ends up in landfill sites every year in the UK, which is a terrible waste.

"Outgrown and unwanted clothing should not be wasted in this way – they can be treasured and loved by other people when we've finished with them.

"Age Cymru is showing our support for JoJo Maman BéBé's 'From a Mother to Another' campaign by donating some of the children and baby clothing that we've been given."
