Monmouth Town Council were able to continue as normal Monday night when Roy Nicholas, Clerk to Llangattock-vibon-Avel, stepped in at the last minute to take over duties as clerk. It was proposed by Bob Hayward to appoint Roy as the proper Officer to call meetings, and it was voted unanimously to accept this proposal.

Mayor Ann Were reassured the public that it was business as usual, and Cllr Sue White thanked Roy for taking up to temporary post.
