Year 6 pupils from Gilbert Inglefield House, the Preparatory Department of HMSG, were delighted to meet Gordon Brown unexpectedly when they visited the Imperial War Museum last week. 

The Prime Minister, who had been there to open a new exhibition, spent a few minutes talking to the girls and their teachers, before leaving in a flurry of security men and press photographers. 

The girls then went on to visit the Blitz experience as part of their History studies on The Second World War.  It was voted an extremely exciting day by the girls!
