A CHURCH in Monmouth has been a local lifeline for those in desperate need of essential items during the floods.

Monmouth Methodist Church has become a vital community place for residents affected by the recent storm after an overwhelming response from the local community saw donations pour in throughout the week.

Volunteers have been sorting and distributing items from clothes, blankets, toiletries and much more to those who are in desperate need of them in this unfortunate time.

The volume of donations has been extensive, and these will be going towards those who need them at this time.

The church and volunteers have shown an unwavering amount of support over the last few days. The Monmouth community is really coming together in this upsetting time.
