A TWENTY four-year-old Monmouth man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Gwent Police have appealed for witnesses after a road traffic collision between two vehicles on Friday 5th August left one man with serious injuries.

The incident, which took place on the A465 in Llanvihangel Crucorney, Abergavenny, was between a Blue Hyundai Getz and a Silver Ford Focus and happened at around 4.50pm.

Officers believe a dark-coloured vehicle did witness the collision.

A male was taken to Neville Hall Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

A 24 year old male from the Monmouth area was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has now been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
