A CAFÉ has been put up for sale in Monmouth as a going concern, offering a potential new owner the opportunity to take over an established business.

The Malthouse Café which is tucked away in the town on St Mary’s Street is known for its quaint setting and historic character. Over time, it has built a loyal customer base and established a reputation among both local residents and visitors to the area.

“I’m looking for someone who will appreciate the work that’s gone into building the café and keep it moving forward for locals and visitors of Monmouth to enjoy, said current owner of the café,” Kate Hallett.

The current owner has also played a part in supporting the community during difficult times. When flooding affected the town last November, Kate handed out flapjacks to shop owners whose businesses were affected as well as volunteers helping sharing how the café has played a part in supporting people in the community.

The sale includes the café’s equipment, fixtures, stock and other items needed to continue running the business.

“I am selling due to a change in personal circumstances but I’d love to see The Malthouse Café continue to grow,” added Kate.
