Monmouth put in yet another great team effort last Monday night in the South East Wales League.

With the first half of the season nearly over and some strong wins in the bag so far, Monmouth were going to have to work hard to add another one against Newport B.

The starting seven consisted of Mandy Davies and Lisa Small in shooting, Vanessa Ball, Mel Steer and Rebecca Price in centre court and Tracey Powell and Lisa English in defence. All players gave 100 per cent from the starting whistle, giving Monmouth the lead by the end of the first quarter.

Monmouth again went into the second quarter with continued determination. This quarter they were joined on court by Kate Hapgood in defence and Emma King at centre.

All players worked tirelessly to dominate the game and continued to keep the lead throughout both the second and third quarters, taking Monmouth into the final quarter with a win insight.
