A wide range of talent was showcased at the Junior Monmouth’s Got Talent competition held at Bridges Centre last Wednesday (1st March).
Four primary schools took part; Overmonnow, Osbaston, The Grange and Inglefield House with each school bringing a varied talent to the stage.
From drum solos to dancers, and even a magic act, there was something for everyone, with the judges having the unenviable task of finding a winner to go through to the main event at The Blake Theatre next week.
The winners were a trio of Cossack dancers from Inglefield House; Eleanor Moore, Grace Humphries and Joanna Anjos who will perform on stage at the senior competition on 13th March starting at 7pm, doors open 6.30pm.
The judges had the hard and unenviable task of coming to a final list of winners. The organisers wish to thank Hair by Jones, Waitrose, Tidings, Car Care, Shiraz and Hallmark for donating prizes for the raffle. Also the judges, Tim Bird, deputy headteacher of Monmouth Comprehensive School (MCS), Dr Andrew Daniel, head teacher of Monmouth School and Miss Gillian Cummins of the performing and expressive arts faculty of MCS.
£100 was raised for Bridges Centre.
